Brief Answer:
Need to enhance attention to perineal hygiene and remove any pressure point

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

Although it needs to have a clinical examination to diagnose the condition you developed, if I were your doctor, I would advise you with the following:

1) More care towards your personal hygiene considering your problem of incontinence of both urine and stool, which might have caused irritation of the skin over the buttock causing secondary infection which could be both fungal and/or bacterial. Once it is confirmed, it would be treated with appropriate local ointments and by keeping the area dry and clean.
2) The problem might have been caused by long hours of pressure on the buttocks due being confined to the lift chair. The primary treatment of this condition would be to release the pressure, and thus to change sides frequently or keeping the area free from pressure. The way to do this could be advised by your treating doctor, as he knows best on your present health condition.
3) In addition, I would also advise you to get some routine blood tests like a CBC and a blood sugar done for your records.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
