Suggest Treatment For Soft Tissue Edema Developed After A Dog Bite
Question: Hello, I was bit by a dog on the inner thigh and have read a lot of posts about similar cases. After a week and a half the bruising is almost gone but there is a hard lump just under the skin that does not hurt. Is this normal and will it go away on its own or should I be concerned?

As per your description, soft tissue edema or haematoma (collection of blood) are the two close possibilities I will consider. None of those are concerning. And the symptoms should disappear gradually. If necessary containing Trypsin & Chymotrypsin along with anti inflammatory tablet may be used. Both the group of drugs are available only on prescription. So if you develop symptoms visit a doctor for a script.

If it is inflamed still which I'm sure it is. What can I do to reduce inflammation naturally if anything. Can I ice it or heat it to help healing.
How long can these take to heal?
If it never starts hurting and does not turn red can I assume it is not an infection?

It may take another 2 weeks for complete healing. In case it become red and painful, you will need additional medicines in the form of antibiotic to treat super added bacterial infection.
So yes, if it doesn't pain, cause redness / discharge we can assume there is no infection
