Question: Hello, My husband has a severe burn on his head, that seems to not want to stay healed, It started with a grout/cement getting on his head, then he got it out with some kind of chemical. i think he used muratic acid , this was several months ago, it seams to heal then seams to look like a bad sun burn and scabs then gets dry and flakey.

Hello, I believe I have sent you 4 pictures,,, One of them show a wound , the others show the dry flaking skin, I spoke to my husband and he said this happened about 8 months ago. He got spattered with a chemical grouting material all over his head, He used MEK Methyl Ethyl Keytone to disolve the grout on his head and then rinsed his head with water, I do not think he rinsed it very well, I assume that the chemical he used to clean it off is what really did the most damage, It was several weeks before he told me what happened when I noticed the blistering and flaking on his head, I had him wash it several times and try to get the large flaking areas clean, then he put the neosporin on it. it seamed to help, for awhile then it would get red and scaley again. there has been some hair loss. and thinning of the hair. in picture 001 you can see the sore spot, the rest of the pictures show the flaking and scaling, and hair loss. Please let me know if you received the pictures and if you need additional information. Thank you XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Local injection of steroid will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear Ms

There still appears to be active persistent inflammation. Local injection of steroid in consultation with your physician will definitely be helpful.
