Brief Answer:
antihistamine/decongestant combination, nasal spray, pain meds

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The clearing of your throat suggests that you have a post nasal drip. Treatment of a post nasal drip involves the use of anti histamine decongestant combination even if there is no nasal congestion.

They help to reduce the drip eg zyrtec d, allegra d, claritine d, benadryl d. This is sometimes combined with a nose spray such as nasonex, nasocort, flonase, rhinocort.
IN some persons it can take a few days for the anti histamine/decongestant combination to take effect.

If there is no improvement a topical decongestant may also need to be added for a few days eg otrivine.

An oral pain killer, particularly anti inflammatory, if you can use these, would help with the throat pain eg naproxen or ibuprofen.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
