Brief Answer:
Pacinate will make a better choice

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

From the available description while keeping the possibility of use of antipsychotics it is possible that your son is suffering with extra pyramidal syndrome a well known side effect of most antipsychotics. Considering this I do not think Invega have any role as it is again an antipsychotic medication and there is possibility of worsening of symptoms rather than any improvement.

In the current scenario following are the options for treatment of extra pyramidal symptoms (EPS).

First you can continue with benadryl as advised. This medication have the required properties to control EPS.

In case above does not help pacinate should be used. It comes in strength of 2 mg and can be used in morning and afternoon everyday to combat the symptoms and to improve the functioning.

I hope this answers you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
It is prescription only

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

Pacinate is prescription only medication and it can not be purchased over the counter. You can approach your family physician as he can prescribe it and no specialist prescription is necessary.

I hope this helps you further.
