Question: My daughter is 22 y/o and had a Nexplanon implant after which she started with all kind of prblems:
migraines, mouth ulcers, ankle pains, heart palpitations, sun sensitvity and fatigue. Because of a positive ANA ( speckled pattern) she was diagnosed with Lupus and was started on plaquenil. The w/u for Lupus was negative other than the positive ANA. She is also on Spironolactone for Acne. She is also scratching at the procedure site. Since everything started after the nexplanon implant I advised her to have it removed but her doctors told her that I was crazy. What is your advice?

Brief Answer:
Yes, you should can try by removing implant.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, you can definitely try by removing implant.
All her symptoms are might be due to hormonal imbalance caused by impant.
So in my opinion, you should consult gynecologist and discuss about these symptoms and hormonal imbalance due to implant as a cause.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your daughter. Thanks.
