Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. lets discuss them on eby one

1) Shortness of breath : at age of 64 shortness of breath is likely due to a cause . Reduced heart functions, lungs pathologies like COPD asthma or restrictive lung disease and blood causes like anemia all need to be ruled out. Once underlying cause of shortness of breath is sorted out management is accordingly. With yoru history of swelling in legs ( edema ) and history of catheterization, i believe its reduced heart functions called congestive heart failure symptoms and needs supportive care.

2) Sweating : has many causes. Usually at old age its due to medications side effect and anxiety. Hormonal causes are less likely but thyroids should be checked along with other metabolic causes like low glucose etc.

3) Weight gain : is likely an age related morbidity and needs diet lifestyle adjustments, reducing caloric intake and exercising more frequently is what you need.

4) Altered bowel habits is likely a functional bowel decline with age. Eat small frequent meals, use more fiber and fluids intake and reduce triggers like smoking, alcohol, soda, beverages etc.

5) Smell in urine with recent history of urinary tract infection should be evaluated for recurrent UTI and be managed accordingly.

6) Gas and burp issues are connected to the number 4 , functional bowel decline and management is supportive, diet lifestyle adjustments, some antacids and motility enhancing medications.

7) Dry mouth is mostly due to side effect of medications in old age. Artificial salivary substitutes, chewing gums which are sugar free, adequate fluids intake etc will help.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
