Question: I have had the shingles shot over a year ago, but am getting suggestions of shingles as a possible cause for pain in my arms and legs. Is it possible to still get shingles even if you have had the shot?

I am so sorry to hear about this pain that you have reported. Shingles vaccine is only able to protect at most 70percent of all vaccinated persons against developing shingles. This means that you could still have shingles even after vaccination. Talk to your doctor and get this area examined for possible signs of shingles infection and proper management. Shingles cannot be ruled out solely on the history of you being vaccinated.
