Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,

I have gone through your query and can understand how frustating it can be,

Your symptoms seems to be consistent with shingles and you have been prescribed with all the medications necessary. The pain is one of the most common symptom and it usually lasts for a few months or for a year or two.

One of the most common complication is post-herpetic neuralgia. If the pain persists for more than 1 month, the possibility of postherpetic neuralgia should be considered.

I would suggest you to discuss with your doctor for options of lidocaine patches, so as to provide some relief from pain. Also the use of corticosteroids have been practised by some doctors, though I would not personally support it.You may also consider discussing this with your treating doctor.

Meanwhile, eat healthy food, keep the surface affected clean and dry.

Please feel free to discuss further.

Regards
