Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain In The Rectum

default
Posted on Sat, 26 Nov 2016
Question: The last 24 hours I have had a sharp consistent pain in the lower abdomen, upper groin area that is very tender to the touch. The day before, I was experiencing aching in the testicles, which is still there but has gotten a little better. Now, especially with movement or coughing, the entire upper groin and lower groin has sharp pain. A few times, I have experienced a sharp shooting pain that runs through the rectum. The pains are made better by urinating, once the bladder is empty, however my urge to urinate has gone up, and starting the flow is difficult, however I experience not pain in the penis during urination. I have just now had a change in bowel movement, which was almost a mucus consistency that left a stringy look of mucus. The overall rate of the pain in the abdomen is a 7 and ongoing, and there is also no bruising or lumps.

Brief Answer:
UTI, needs work up and management

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Pain in lower abdomen relieved by urinating with increased urinary frequency and urgency and recent pain in testicles should be evaluated for urinary as well as gonadal infections. You need to visit a doctor, they will assess the genitals, run urine routine exam as well as cultures and likely give you antibiotics. Detailed history to rule out other possibilities including sexual history will help tailor the diagnosis and management accordingly. Adequate fluids intake and abstinence form coitus or masturbation for a while is advised till full recovery. Phenazopyridine will just help with pain if its due to urinary cause but wont treat UTI, that will need antibiotic.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
