Suggest Treatment For Sharp Abdominal Pain

Question: My 17 year old daughter started having unexplained bruising on her arm, neck and a bruise with sharp pain on her abdomen approximately a month ago. She pits easily and usually bruises without much pressure. They all last quite awhile before fading. She has not complained of other symptoms with the exception of joint pain in her knees and hips and her knees sometimes "giving out" while walking. Her knees do turn in like my own and I suspect she needs orthotics for her running shoes. We are waiting to see her pediatrician and have her blood drawn. I noticed on this website that bruising can range from vitamin deficiency to blood diseases. Do these symptoms sound more likely to be something specific?
