Suggest Treatment For Sexual Anhedonia

Question: I suffer from sexual anhedonia. I feel nothing when I have an orgasm. I still have a desire for sex, but I don't feel anything. I was taking Prestiq for depression, and it really worked well, but sexual anhedonia was one of the side effects. At the time, it was worth it to feel better. Well, Prestiq no longer works, and I'm still suffering from sexual anhedonia. It's been a few years now, and the condition is the same. Is this condition permanent? Is there anything I can do?

Brief Answer:
Side effects cant be for years

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I am sure, though Prestiq can cause such sexual anhedonia does not persist even after the medicine is stopped and for sure not for years.

I suspect the cause to more of psychological rather than organic. I suggest you to consult a Psychiatrist who can evaluate you and come to a conclusion.

Well, to disappointment there are no medications which can cure sexual anhedonia. Behavioral therapy does have some promising results.

Hope, I answered your query.

Please do ask if any doubts.
