Brief Answer:
Yes, these are good fro congestion and headache!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for contacting us.

I have reviewed your information fully. The suggested medications are okay. In addition, drink much fluids, eat much fruits and vegetables and do regular physical exercise to help with the recovery process. Antibiotics are not necessary as the most common cause is a virus and doesn't respond to antibiotics.

I hope this clarifies any doubts you had. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up if there are any further issues you want us to address.

Brief Answer:
Yes......Continue with the medications!

Detailed Answer:
HI and thanks for this follow up question.

If you need the voice back urgently, I suggest that you get prednisolone tablets. However, this may take anywhere from 5-7days before you fully regain your voice. Continue with mucinex and tylenol to relief the symptoms of congestion and headache.

I wish you well.

Will drinking a lot help with regaining my voice . How much longer will it take? Should I still take the mesinec and Tylenol ?

At the end of the week and I'm still feeling the same way . Could you suggest something else .
Since this is viral going to a doctor really wouldn't change anything would it .

Brief Answer:
Drinking will not help!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Drinking will not help gain your voice back. I will not recommend any other drug now. You should take those that have been recommended first. We will evaluate later to see if any changes need to be made: Mucinex, prednisone tablets and tylenol.

I don't support going to the doctor either. Your voice won't return overnight.

I wish you well.

I had a complete hysterectomy in 1979 at age 32. I took Premarian 1.25 for about 30 years. My GYN reduced the dosage to .625. I took it a couple of years without a problem. Then, I began sweating, especially, my head. My hair is soaked several times a day. It is embarrassing. My GYN put me on a patch and it work. He then tried another patch and it didn t work. He said my blood work indicates I need the hormone, but nothing is helping. I have been on Prednisone quite often for asthma. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you.

I m military and in basic and AIT (both located in GA) I developed a odd sounding chronic cough. I went through numerous tests to include XRAY, Methacholine challenge, GERD, Allergy and others I can t recall. I also have rhinitis which I m told by the allergist is not due to any allergy (I had a full skin test). It mostly subsided when I was stationed in Ft Lewis, WA while I was taking flonase and zyrtec. I ve since been stationed at Hunter AAF, GA and now the cough is back in full force and my rhinitis is no longer controlled by flonase. An allergist back at fort gordon told me it was cough variant asthma( after successfully reducing the symptoms with prednisone and then advair) but the pulmonologist at both fort gordon and fort lewis insist that I don t have asthma. While my symptoms are present I have a shortness of breath during running and similar exercises but to a lesser extent in washington. I had no issues during my deployment to Iraq (my 2 mile run times dropped four minutes with no changes in behavior) I was 18 when in Basic and AIT and now am 22 soon to be 23. Any ideas?

My husband, came to me about 3 hours ago and said he was in horrible pain. He described pain in his elbow, and extremely painful groin area on the same side of body. He has Rheumatoid Arthritis and is on quite a few medications. He does have a radiculopathy in his cervical spine and has the elbow and shoulder pain before. This week, he had a bout with severe shoulder pain on the opposite side, radiating around his entire left shoulder area, almost causing the shoulder to feel locked. We saw our rheumatologist s partner this week who upped his prednisone to 20mg per day for 10 days. She suggested that perhaps we will want to get xrays if he has more symptoms. I know about his elbow pain caused from the ridiculopathy,as it has before. I just am very concerned about this unbearable pain in the groin.
