Brief Answer:
Conservative vs Surgical management

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

What is your father's age?

Your father seems to be having Cervical spondylosis which is a degenerative condition of the spine in the back of the neck. This can form new abnormal bone which can compress on the nerves in the neck that travel to the upper limbs which can cause radiating pain with tingling and numbness.

At this stage, medication, Physiotherapy, avoiding using thick pillow may be done. Neck extension exercises will be useful.

If he responds to this treatment in 6 months, then nothing more to be done. If not responding, he can undergo surgery by endoscopic disc removal which can give relief.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
