Magnesium          250 mg     1 tab a day

These are the meds I take each day. I'm taking quite a bit of calcium and Vit D. I was in a bad car accident 9 years ago and did not walk for two years. Had 10 surgeries on one leg and one on the other. Also a broken sternum. I am not as active as I should be or want to be and I'm pretty sure that contributes. I have been seeing a chiropractor and that has helped keep my back and neck in place, but it doesn't do much for the muscle pain. I have had muscle pain for a very long time, even prior to the accident, but it seems to be much worse in the last year. I do not have diabetes or thyroid issues that I know of. I did smoke but quit in 2007.

Brief Answer:
Pravastatin and hctz can cause muscle pain

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and your lists of medicines. You are taking Pravastatin for cholesterol and Hctz for blood pressure. Both these medications can cause myopathy and muscle pain. I have following suggestions for you.
1.you can stop taking pravastatin.
2.Rather then taking hctz you can take other medications like calcium channel blocker or beta blocker after discussing with your physician.
I hope this answer will be useful to you. Let me know if you have any other follow up questions.
Thanks
