default
Posted on Tue, 30 May 2017
Question: dREADFul pain in right pelvic bone/groin, it grounds me and have to drag my leg. Pain can go round top of leg towards bottom on same side. Wondering if it is due to arthritis, as I have osteoporosis in my hips and arthritis in my lower spine, sacaroliac joint, knees hands etc. or is it due to the SPARC SLING inserted 2008. Worried. Only comes on when I dont move for 3 to 4 days.

Brief Answer:
more likely due to conditions of the joints

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is more likely related to an issue of the joints than the sparc sling.

The sparc sling can potentially cause complications like any other surgical procedure but the symptoms are more commonly related to the genital urinary tract eg vaginal bleeding, vaginal scaring, urinary symptoms, vaginal infection, pain on intercourse, resumption of urinary incontinence, erosion of the sling.

This means that though there may be a remote link to sparc sling , it is more likely due to an issue of the joints. Imaging of the joints by CT or x ray, would be needed to determine the exact cause.
This should be done as soon as possible since the pain is so severe.

In addition, a physiotherapist may be needed to go through specific exercises that may help you.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
