Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Left Testicles

default
Posted on Sat, 3 Dec 2016
Question: I am 76 years old, my left testicle is about 4 or 5 times the size of my right. There have not been any serious pain in the past. If there is I wear a jockstrap for a while. I usually wake up in the morning with cough that goes away after while. This morning while I was coughing I had a very sharp in my left testicle area radiated back toward buttocks. I put on a jockstrap, I don't know if this helped, but when I cough now the has stopped. Actually it was getting with each subsequent cough. Is this signs of a rupture? This is actually the first this pain has happened, and it was only when I coughed.

Brief Answer:
The diagnosis should be confirmed first.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Swelling in the scrotum which is related to coughing is Inguinal hernia.
First, exact diagnosis should be confirmed. Whether it is Inguinal hernia , where bowels enter the scrotum or Hydrocele, where fluid is accumulated around testis.
It is confirmed by Clinical examination and Ultrasound scrotum.
Please consult a General Surgeon, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
