Brief answer..chances are reduced if you have taken care of risk factors
Detailed answer..
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern
Your history suggests that you had severe occlusive peripheral artery disease ( PAD ) which resulted in amputation of left leg.
Besides diabetes there are many other risk factors responsible for PAD like ...
Smoking,high blood pressure,severe alcoholism,high cholesterol levels etc.
Now the outlook of status of PAD in other leg depends upon how much change you have adopted by the way of lifestyle changes.
If you have made all appropriate lifestyle changes, then outlook on other leg is improved and becomes good but if no lifestyle change has been adopted, then outlook is less favourable.
I think I have made my point as it is very difficult to predict.
Go ahead and get your test done.
I hope it helps however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
