Suggest Treatment For Severe Nausea

Question: Had severe nausea from sertaline for a week and a half. On a low doseage and i stopped them since wed. I bought a pill splitter today and will start again tomorrow morning. How long before i will be able to take whole 25mg with no side effects?

It typically takes 2 weeks on sertraline for the side effect of nausea to go away. I would not split your pills, but rather take the entire dose. You can manage nausea by talking to your doctor about taking anti-nausea medication such as Zofran or Maalox. You can also take sertraline with food, or take it in the evening rather than the morning. This side effect will go away with time, don't worry!

The side effects were so bad taking the whole. I also have cerebral palsy and am dealing with a stomach problem which i am scheduled for endoscopy in 2 weeks. Splitting is the ony i can make side effects less. It is what i had to do last time i was on it

I have been on zoloft in the past. Would you believe after 2 weeks I could i could increase to a whole pill with low side effects because body had gotten used to med?
