Brief Answer:
Metoprolol will help in preventing the migraines.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I am sorry to hear about your condition. Taking Metoprolol 50 mg twice daily helps in preventing migraines. Please get it prescribed by your GP and that should provide relief. In case you get migraines, taking naproxen 500 mg one or two tablets as per requirement should provide relief (taking in full stomach is advisable).

Hope that helps.

I already take metoprolol daily and doesn't seem to help. Have taken naproxen in past and that doesn't help either. What about the stadol nasal spray as that is only medication that has worked for me?

Brief Answer:
You may take Stadol.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I would still insist you to try naproxen. Stadol contains Butorphanol , a morphinan-type synthetic opioid analgesic and can be taken.

Thank you for the answer you sent. I will try the naproxen and only use the stadol as a rescue medication. However, I don't have the necessary prescriptions. Would you please send the prescriptions to the CVS pharmacy on Main Street in Waltham, Massachusetts as soon as you can.
I appreciate your help to get me to my neurologist appointment at the end on August

Brief Answer:
Prescriptions cannot be procured through this platform.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Unfortunately the platform of HealthcareMagic is for informational purpose only (see disclaimer) and we cannot provide prescriptions through this platform. You would need to get those written down by your GP.

Unfortunately I would not be able to fetch you a neurologist's appointment either.

Nevertheless, I would definitely be able to help you find solution to any health related issues that you might be having.
