Brief Answer:
Preventive treatment needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

If you experience more than 3-4 migraine headaches in a month, you should take preventive treatment.

Frova is a drug used for the acute phase treatment of migraine.

If you didn't use preventive treatment for migraine headaches, three drug classes used for this purpose are:
1. Antidepressants ( Amytriptiline eg.)
2. Antiepileptics ( Valproate eg.)
3. Calcium channel blockers ( Verapamil eg.)

If preventive treatment together with acute phase treatment fail to improve symptoms, Botox injections in scalp could be tried as an effective long lasting symptoms treatment.

Since these are prescription drugs and procedures, there's need to discuss with your treating Doctor about.

Hope this helps. If you have further questions or clarifications, feel free to ask, if not, you can close the conversation and rate the answer.

Wishing you good health.
