Brief Answer:
Could be slipped disc.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
With symptoms like yours, i am inclined to think in terms of slipped disc probably L5-S1 or L4-5.with pressure on a nerve causing this pain.
I recommend pain killers , muscle relaxants, physiotherapy and certain precautions like no weight lifting , avoid forward bending and prolonged sitting.
If you don't get relief in 5-7 days then get an MRI of lower spine to know the exact nature of nerve compression.
Thanks for the question.

There is constant severe pain in the right buttock area. Could there also be an issue with the S i Joint?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel , orthopedic surgeon
It is unlikely to have two diseases and when we can explain all symptoms from one disease , then do not think about second disease.
Involvement of L5- S1 will lead to pain in the hip area so it is explained. However for confirmation I would still go for MRI.
Numbness is also not explained by sacroilitis.
Thanks for the question.
