Suggest Treatment For Severe Leg Pain In A Diabetic
I'm a 49 year old male with diabetes and for the last 6 months have had very bad leg pain to the point where i can hardly walk .
i mostly get it when in bed or resting been to my doc heaps and he has me on lyrica but it doesn't seem to be doing much and I'm coming to my wit's end my musels are very sore and it herts to even during myself after a shower or pulling pants on

Pain can come from many sources and it is important to try and get to the root of the problem by working carefully with your doctor. I will give you some suggestions to try and see if you can get some relief.
Lyrica is for neuropathic pain (pain from the nerves) and is often helpful in diabetic neuropathy or problems like fibromyalgia. If you think it has helped your pain at all I would continue it.
You can try adding an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen. In addition adding a multivitamin and some anti-inflammatory supplements like fish oil and vitamin c could be helpful.
Make sure you are drinking 2-3 liters of water daily and avoid all nicotine, alcohol and caffeine.
Exercise daily at least walking for 30 minutes.
Consider seeing a physical therapist for further assistance.
