Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache

Question: Hello doctor my mother aged 65 years having severe head ache last 1week. Pain is more on left side of back head (below ear) and till neck .CT scan was done but no concerns found .she has rheumatic arthritis and under treatment

She is having shooting pain and continuous as well

I have noted your mother's symptoms. Her headache and pain seem to be neuralgic in origin, and neuropathic pain medications would help.

She can be started on pregabalin capsules.

Normal CT scan of brain is a good news and it rules out any serious brain disease.
