    Suggest treatment for severe cough and tenderness in the abdomen

Question: Getting over virus that caused severe cough. Now have extreme tenderness lower abdomen almost center but slightly to the left. Could this be a hernia from violent coughing spells?

No swelling or bruising, no bowel straining. Pain is constant but feels more like an internal bruise or tenderness, not a sharp pain. Does not subside, stretching hurts but seems to relieve it a little. About 1/4 of abdomen toward left side, hurts when cough. No vomiting. Taking Mucinix DM, Tessalon pearls and nasal spray

- Take vigorous control of cough on priority basis .
- Continue current medications .
- Gargles with salted lukewarm water and added peppermint oil 3 times a day .
- Herbal support with XXXXXXX leaves, honey .
- Avoid weight lifting , excess stretching , bending more till possible .
- Dietary control for cough management .
- Maintain internal discomfort chart with progress of cough , it is improving with
control of cough fine , if persistent take an appointment for ultrasound of
abdomen & pelvis to rule out any other internal condition .
