Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

First of all the SOB may be an equivalent of chest pain and cardiac issues are to be excluded.

Since he has done again all the blood works which were normal he should repeat once again the ecg and cardiac echo to exclude progression of heart disease.

If all the above mentioned exams will be normal than is symptoms may be related to anxiety.

Please keep in mind that anxiety is a common finding in patients who had been recently diagnosed with cardiac disease and has done coronary intervention (stenting). In this case reassuring im that everythingis ok it's the best thing to do.

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you and your family health!

we are doing all that now, but nothing explains THE SOB while sitting or standing. Most SOB is while laying down not sitting up. Plus he has no chest pains they said his lungs are clear . Its a mystery. No fever BP dropped but he was dehydrated now there is nothing but he cant sit up bc of SOB

Hi back
Let me explain you again!

Since he is experiencing SOB with clear lungs this signs suggest more for psychological SOB (anxiety related).

Moreover the fact that the SOB is more pronounced on sitting position and is relieved while he is laying down on bed almost exclude cardiac causes of dyspnea.

However ince he has had a coronary stenting done recently SOB in rare cases may be an equivalent of chest pain.

Although the patient doesn't feel any pain he may experience SOB instead of pain due to ongoing ischemic heart ddiease ( myocardial ischemia or stent reclosure etc).

This is why it's important to do ll the above mentioned exams. Since they were all normal the shortness of breath is most likely related to anxiety.

Wish you and your family health!
