Brief Answer:
infection, autoimmune diseases, side effects of meds, hormonal causes

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Generalized joint pain can be due to different causes such as: (1) infection- particularly viral infections eg flu, dengue (seen in tropics) can cause pain but would be associated with general symptoms such as fever, weakness, fatigue

Some bacterial infections as well, can cause generalized pain

(2)autoimmune disease- lupus, rheumatoid arthritis can be associated with joint pain as well

(3)trauma

(4)side effect of medication
eg statins

(5)endocrine disease such as thyroid disease, parathyroid disease

(6)cancer

(7)conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (can be associated with joint disease) reactive arthritis etc

If you have fever and other signs/symptoms of infection then this is a likely cause.
If it is a flu virus infection and you are not too symptomatic then this can be treated at home.

If you have symptoms of an infection but the exact source is not known, then you may need to see your doctor for an assessment.

If infection is not likely then you should be seen to rule out other causes. You would need to be examined and blood tests such as complete blood count, ESR (checks for inflammation in the body), hormone levels

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
