Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety

Question: Hello. I know I have anxiety issues that may impact my perspective, but wondered if it was reasonable to worry about this . . . today I was picking up papers in my neighborhood, which has quite a bit of drug traffic. The papers were dirty, but I'm not sure what else. After throwing them away, I noticed that my thumb that had touched the papers had a cut on it (still red and maybe with blood around but not fresh). I was further concerned when I saw that the papers included discussion of Hepatitis C and its treatment (from a clinic, I'm guessing). Is there any danger that, if I came into contact with dried blood on the papers with that finger, I could be infected?

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely to get infected

Detailed Answer:
Dear sir, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns.

Hepatitis C virus can live outside the human body for up to 3 weeks if blood accidentally scattered over these papers. However getting infected with hepatitis C through such casual touching of an infected surface is extremely unlikely and rare to occur...

I would recommend that you wash the cut very well with soap and water, then disinfect the skin with alcohol or Dettol wash... That will be enough to eliminate any possible contamination.

I hope I answered your question. Let me know if I could assist you further.
Regards
