Suggest Treatment For Scars Around Base Of Penis And Burning Sensation In The Penis Shaft

default
Posted on Wed, 29 Jun 2016
Question: Hello, i got a penis injury 2 months ago now i think, and it really scared me. I heard a popping sound, but there was no pain at all, no blood, no swelling. Then a few weeks later, it happened again! And then again a few weeks after that. I couldnt see that there was anything wrong with my penis, but suddenly these ring type scars started to appear on the right side of my shaft. It doesnt hurt, but its very ugly to look at. Sometimes i can see the scars, sometimes i cant. I can still achieve full erection and all without pain, and the scars can still be seen when errect, but its not that noticeable. I went to a doctor about it, and he said i had nothing to worry about. Now, when im not errect, i can feel this burning sensation on the right side of the shaft, and i doesnt go away, its there constantly. Could i have small tears in my tunica albuginea? I should also mention that when my penis is semi hard, i likes to bend downwards on the middle of my shaft, which i didnt do before. But when im fully errect, it doesnt bend. Whats wrong? Also, the most important question... Will it go away?! Someone said that it could take 8 months to heal. I just hope that i havent worsened the condition, because ive had a lot sex since the accidents. Because it didnt hurt, what should ne wrong?

Brief Answer:
Nothing significant to worry according to history.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.

From your description, grossly, there doesn't seem to be anything significant.

Your main worry is about 3 things :
1. scars around base of penis.
2. tunica albuginea tears.
3. bend in penis, when not erect. will it go away ?

1. Scars around the base of penis on right side.
According to your description, you see it at times and don't see it at other times.
Even with erection, you may not be able to see it.It may not be significant.
That suggests, it may not be prominent.
You can send a photo of the scar.

2. Tears of the tunica albuginea, cause bleeding and severe pain and swelling.
You don't seem to have any of it. So just forget it.

3. Bend in penis, should be most prominent during an erection.
You don't have any of these symptoms.
It'll be most painful during sex. You don't have that either.
So none of your symptoms are cause for worry.

If you still have any worry, you may send a copy of the penis in erection.
Wish you good health.

Then not scars, but you can see those rings on the flacid picture, they werent there before. Could they be veins?

Brief Answer:
Veins are the most likely structures being referred to.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,

Yes veins, if you're referring to the linear and horizontal thread like structures.
These are well seen along the length of the shaft of penis.

Veins are normal structures on the shaft, seen more prominently with erection.

You may clear any other doubts, you may have.
Wish you well.
