Remedy for Rosacea

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am Dr. Kakkar (Dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern

There are a lot of treatment options for Rosacea-topical, oral and light therapy.

Apart from sun protection with a broad spectrum sunscreen, topical treatment options include mainly metronidazole 1%gel/cream Azaleic acid 10-20%gel/cream, Clindamycin gel, Pimecrolimus 1%cream(Elidel) etc.

Oral treatment options include mainly Oral antibiotics e.g either doxycycline, minocycline or roxithromycin and Oral retinoids e.g isotretinoin.

Light therapy plays an important role in reducing redness and telangiectasias in Rosacea e.g Intense pulse light therapy (IPL) and 585nm pulse XXXXXXX laser.

Oral, topical and light treatment can be combined in the treatment of Rosacea.

Regards
