Brief Answer:
What cream have you been using?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I have taken a look at this rash. It really looks like a ringworm, caused by fungi. Most antifungal creams should be able to control this infection. Just to make sure it is an antifungal cream you have been using, can you provide me with the name of this drug?

I hope to hear from you before making further decisions on management and treatment options.

Brief Answer:
Please, stop it!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the follow up information.

1 month is long enough to have gotten this infection well controlled by clotrimazole cream. It is either this cream is not effective in this case or we are treating the wrong condition. I will suggest that you stop the cream as there is no point in continuing. It has shown that it is not helpful in this particular case.

My suggestion is this: Stop the medication for a week and send a new photograph for me to see what the rash looks like. It is no problem doing so as this rash is not a life threatening condition that needs immediate treatment. From there, I will either recommend another antifungal cream if the photo is still very suggestive or establish a different management plan for this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much and hope to get the updates when ready.
