Question: My son was swimming and got kicked accidentally on his right ear. He says its ringing and he can't hear out of that ear. Doesn't seem to be in any pain though. Should I take him to the ER or wait until he complains of pain?

Brief Answer:
Otomycosis most likely

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic and thanks for putting up the query,

Water has entered the ear. Please dry it with an ear bud and put Candibiotic ear drops (Chloramphenicol 5 % w/v, Clotrimazole 1 % w/v, Beclometasone dipropionate 0.025 % w/v, Lignocaine hydrochloride 2 % w/v) for 5 days.

He should be fine. If the problem still persists despite this, you should take him to an ENT SPECIALIST.

Any further questions are always welcome.
Thanks and regards
