Suggest Treatment For Ringing In Left Ear Along With Change In Quality Of Sound

default
Posted on Tue, 10 May 2016
Question: About a month ago, the hearing in my left ear just didn't feel right. There just isn't the quality or clarity of sound as my right, plus I have some light ringing. I thought initially it was ear wax but my doctor found nothing. I was referred to an ENT. Initially I was given antibiotics and when they did nothing I had an audiology test and an MRI. The audiology test showed the left ear has a build up of inner ear fluid, the MRI clear. The ENT said it would clear up in 6 months, I had to greatly change my diet. No caffeine, no alcohol or chocolate. The lack of any clinical treatment or diagnosis has kind of confused me somewhat. Is that all there is to it? Am I wasting my energies stressing about something that will sort itself out in time?
