Question: Hi,

I have had ring worm infection in groin(jock itch) and i took trfy tablet and seriva ointment
and Kz soap for 2 months and it seems be recovering.

Earlier when infection was around it was red, very itching with small boils and burning. Now it has turned super black and there are no boils but occasionally itching.

Do i need to change the medicine or how do i go about this ?

Attached is the photo the infected skin.

Brief Answer:
Use an antifungal+steroid combination cream

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar, dermatologist.
I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern

You seem to have developed post inflammatory hyperpigmentation secondary to tinea.

I suggest you to continue with Kz soap. In addition you may use an antifungal+mild steroid combination cream e.g clotrin B cream, 2x daily for 3-4 weeks.

Regards
