Suggest Treatment For Right-sided Bump On Hard Palate
Question: I have a bump on the right side of my hard palate. my dentist said I probably cut it and now it's swollen. It's been 4 days and no change. I don't remember cutting or hurting it.

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query and the image.
As far as the bump over the palate can be a periodontal or periapical abscess secondary to gum or tooth infection respectively. I will order for a radiograph like Intraoral periapical radiograph in relation to tooth number 14, 15 and 16 to confirm the diagnosis. You may consult a good oral physician and he/she will know about it.
If it is confirmed as periodontal abscess, then you need to get the scaling and root planing.
If it is confirmed as periapical abscess, then the tooth has to be treated with root canal treatment.
If I am your treating doctor, i would have prescribed a course of antibiotics like Amoxicillin and metronidazole combination(if you are not allergic). Do saline gargling. You will be fine in 2-3 days.
