Question: What to do for ra (rheumatoid arthritis) and gout. If there is some way to deal with the fatigue. Diet seems to have the gout under control, but the swelling in my hand and the fatigue won't seem to go away.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
You can use a combination of medications to relieve the inflammation and help the body clear the uric acid. These medications include allopurinol, prednisone, indomethacin or colchicine. In patients who have persistent pain I often use prednisone for 3 to 5 days and patients do well. I would advise you inquire from your physician if that may be an option.
You can also have a calcium magnesium and D3 rich diet to help with the weakness and fatigue.
