Brief Answer:
Please take him to ER immediately

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Your friend must have developed respiratory complications following inhaling bleach fumes. He must be taken to ER and an X ray chest may be done to assess his lungs. If required they will give him oxygen inhalation.

Since it is already a day since inhalation, certain changes may set in within the lungs causing lung and upper airway injury. This is the reason he must be taken to ER immediately.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
