Question: 31 year old patient with end stage renal disease, sickle cell and high blood pressure. Live donor kidney transplant. Surgeon leaves the OR with patient producing little urine.
Ultrasound shows poor flow in donated kidney. Diagnosis: Renal vein thrombosis. Clotting throughout the kidney. Kidney is removed in operation 3 within 24h. Patient dies 5 months later when coupling to dialysis machine fails and he bleeds to death.
Need a physician with some experience in kidney transplant surgery
