Suggest Treatment For Renal Cortical Cyst Causing Pain
Question: my husband has a 1.8 cm right renal cortical cyst and this causes him pain in his lower right side almost the hip area. This sometimes causes him to almost drag his leg from the pain. He was squished between two pieces of farm machinery several years ago and that's when this all started with him. Is there anything I can do to help him with the pain and discomfort that this causes him. we have had a ct and an mri but the clinic that preformed these tests told us that they could not read the mri results we would have to find another doctor to read them to us. They did not have the right doctors to read it for us. The ct scan results said he had the cyst.

Renal cyst, if not infected does not give any pain at all. Please note that cyst is just an empty space filled with fluid. There is no reason for such space to cause any pain. If it would be a cyst related pain, he should have also frequent urinating, burning while urinating, back pain and lower abdominal pain.
The most probable reason of his pain is spine disc herniation or some hip problem. Spine problem is more possible if the pain travels through buttock and reaches foot occasionally. The pain should be more intense when rising strengthen leg up, when lying down.
Spine MRI and pelvis MRI are very important tests in his diagnostics. He should also consult orthopedist.

all of these tests were done in 2010 and he still suffers from the pain he has bowel trouble and he has blood in his urine. he does not have back trouble. None of this started until several weeks after being pinched between the farm drill and tractor in the pelvic area.
