Suggest Treatment For Redness On The Foreskin And Tip Of Penis

default
Posted on Mon, 10 Aug 2015
Question: The foreskin on the tip of my penis is very red with what seems to be obvious capillaries, and the outside of the foreskin shows some redness as well, especially in a line down from where the frenulum is. 2 of my photos shows the foreskin pulled all the way down and the other 2 show the outside. My scrotum is very red as well but that started weeks before this issue. It doesn't hurt or have any discharge. I have just gotten over balanitis caused by fungus and it appears to have disappeared and I masturbated for the first time in a while and then this occurs. I don't think it is a fungal infection since I have been treating the penis with anti-fungal cream and this seems different. I'm going for a frenulectomy on the 23rd so I'm wondering what I can do to help this and if I should postpone the operation.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
It is due to infection of foreskin (Posthatitis)

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have acquired infection of the foreskin(Posthatitis).

In view of you having fungal infection of glans penis it is most likely that it has spread to foreskin .The edema and redness of the foreskin suggests active infection and inflammation .

You need to continue taking antibiotic like Augmentin and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with antibiotic ointment like Soframycin for local application..

The redness of scrotal skin will fade away gradually.

In view of active infection of foreskin it is advisable to postpone surgery of frenuloplasty till your Posthatitis gets cured completely as there is high risk of wound infection .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
