Question: I think I may have contact dermatitis on my upper eyelids. They are red, itchy & scaly : the scaly skin flakes off. I've had it before, but have forgotten how to treat it.

Use a topical steroid cream

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Red, itchy, scaly patches on upper eyelid could be either of seborrheic dermatitis or contact dermatitis.
I suggest you to use a topical steroid cream e.g cortisone cream (hydrocortisone 1%), twice daily.
In addition I suggest you to take a tablet of cetrizine 10mg once daily for symptomatic relief from itching.

Regards
