Question: On 6/6/16 I woke up fine saw the bookcase in my bedroom decided to dust it, bent way over to the right side to do it then when I tried to stand back up everything was spinning had to grab the bookcase to avoid falling. Felt total nausea went to my primary care she said inner ear infection gave me flonase pencillin did nothing for me. went to an ent he said sinus blocked need tips of it to be burnt gave me Azelastine HCI next day felt okay but the following day it was horrible then I wnt back to him they prescribed Rhinocort of course it did nothing and again he had to burn the tips of the sinus for blockage. So went to a different ENT they again gave me Flonase with antiobiotics suggested allergy testing, nothing worked , so went back to them this time saw the PA who said it was vertigo gave me some excercises and Promethazine 25mg. and also had me come back for a balance test which they say I passed but everything was going well on the left side but when they pumped the warm air in the right ear the vertigo came back and the allergy text show that I am allergic to 2 types of tree pollen which he said is seasonal and mold and cockroaches suggested that I buy an air purifier ( which I did) and in the meantime I have developed terrible acid metal taste and my primary doctor says it is acid reflux causing my vertigo (excercises I am still doing) and she gave me PantoprazoleSOD 40mg which gave me diarrahea she said to stop it and also gave me Meclizine for the dizziness and nauseau . So now on my own I am taking TUMS Today I woke up withmy head feeling stuffy and dizzy I feel as though my right ear has something moving in it and I feel as though I am walking on air. What is going on? I need to know why I am having the Epley manuever does this not help what am I going to do again, my body is not tolerating any medication now

Brief Answer:
Steam inhalation should help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the entire query and understand your concerns. I would insist you to continue the medicines as directed. In addition I would insist you to take steam inhalation. Water in form of vapor will reach deep inside and should help in diluting the mucus and should provide relief. It is possible that mucus blocking the thin tubes connecting the throat to the middle ear could lead to pressure imbalance in the middle ear and thereby the vertigo.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
