I mean since so many months every 15 days she gets allergic to climate?????? we did her blood report, ENT and Chest X-ray done. Everything was normal in that as well. We have been giving her Ambroildill and XXXXXXX plus Junior as prescribed by Dr XXXXXXX Patankar here in XXXXXXX East, XXXXXXX She is the second doctor we are seeing. We changed the first doctor as her cough was not curable. Completely confused????? whom should we trust??? because the matter is going very serious because of prolonged cough is not good at all. Now shes not able to sleep properly at night because of continuous coughing every 2minutes as well as running nose. She is not able to eat properly.

Brief Answer:
needs antiallergic medicines

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Based on your history and description I think she has allergic rhinitis and allergic bronchitis. I would suggest the following

1. Get IGE levels tested. If high it confirms allergy. Allergy is usually due to common allergens like dust, mite, animal dander, etc.
You can get allergy testing done by trained allergy specialists ( it is a skin prick test) to identify the allergens and avoid them.

2. Try montelukast for a month. I usually prescribe around 4 mg once daily in the evening to such patients in my clinic. If no improvement she may need a course of inhalers like budesonide.

3. Give flu vaccine every year. This will prevent seasonal cold attacks.

4. Giving frequent cough and cold syrups will not do any good. Other infections are already ruled out as xray ent are normal.

Wishing your child speedy recovery.
Regards
Dr Arun
