Question: 64 female,hospitalised for UTI - glucose during hospitalization was 234 and albumin and Glucose + in urine.kindly review all the documents and confirm what could be the reason for current UTI

Pyelonephritis with Diabetes.

Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, I can understand your concern.
Your reports show, you've uncontrolled Diabetes,with suggestion of an UTI.You've taken a course of antibiotics,for a week. Now you need to do the following tests to know present condition:
1. urine routine, culture and ACR.
2. blood routine, creatinine, FBS,HbA1c,
LFT, lipid profile and platelets.
3. ultrasound scan-KUB,with residual urine.
After seeing these reports, an expert opinion can be given, about treatment.
Drink about 10-12 glasses of fluids daily.
