Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Inner Thighs

default
Posted on Tue, 3 Jan 2017
Question: I have something like a rash inner thigh left leg for a few days now. It is spreading and becoming more sensitive. One of the areas just above the knee consists of about seven individual little round mounds covering an area about the size of a dollar coin. Each one seems to have a small crater-like opening at the top. Higher on the leg the red-sensitive-thick rash is much more intense. I was in emergency room with this issue about 4 nights ago. Doctor said no infection, gave me a steroid shot.

Brief Answer:
Intertrigo or insect bite hypersensitivity reaction

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your complaints it seems to be either intertrigo which is inflammation of the body folds or insect bite hypersensitivity reaction.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply a combination of steroid and antibiotic like neosporin and cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for 7-10 days.
This should resolve it.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
