default
Posted on Thu, 5 Feb 2015
Question: I am allergic to sulfa medication apparently and have broken out. I stopped the medicine 3 days ago and still am breaking out as it is clearing my system. How long til I am back to normal and my hives/rash go away? Anything I can do to help speed this along?

Brief Answer:
Rash may last for 1-2 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your query and concern.

It may last for 1-2 weeks on average for the rash to go away.

But the drug may leave the body much earlier to this.

In order to speed up your recovery,I advise tab Deslor 5 mg once a day at bedtime for 5 days.

Single shot of Intramuscular Inj of Hydrocortisone 100 mg will offer great and quick relief.

Please note the suggested medications have to be taken under strict medical supervision.

Post your further queries,if any.

Thank you.
