Suggest Treatment For Rash On Penis Head Post Protected Sex

default
Posted on Wed, 24 Jun 2015
Question: Hi, I had an encounter with a stripper 2 weeks ago, I had PROTECTED oral and vaginal sex but before wearing the condom the stripper used her saliva to lubricate my penis. so the next day evening I saw 2 to 3 tiny red spots on my penis head seeing that I used disinfectant(dettol) to clean my penis head. after 2 days I saw 8 to 10 red spots but the old ones are gone. I am really scared if this is Herpes or its just a condom rash or rash because of disinfectant. I do not have watery blisters or penis pain or pain during urination. but I get pain now for sometime after cleaning my penis head with warm salt water. the pictures in internet scares me alot and what ever STD symptom I read I feel like I got it. if this is herpes does the red spot remain for 14 days with out blistering or puss and does herpes symptom starts the next day after my encounter? I have scheduled an appointment with doctor this Saturday. I am really ashamed of what I did and I am getting married in six month i am really worried. all your answers would really help me in some way.

Brief Answer:
Allergic reaction to condom or dettol likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query at HCM.
I understand your concern and situation.

I would like to tell you that no STD shows up repeatedly and so quickly after sex. It could be possible that it is unrelated to your sexual exposure. It doesn't seems to be serious, but if it persists, see a health care provider, such as a dermatologist. If seems be allergic reaction to condom and disinfectants use possibly. I suggest you must not apply dettol on genital area and avoid wearing condoms for few weeks. If it persist you can get tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Stay in follow-up. Maintain genital hygiene I hope you will require no treatment.

Take care.

Doctor also I would like to ask another question! The tiny red spots is like 10 to 12 now where like 2 to 3 spots are gone and new 1 to 2 spots have come in other side of the penis head. Still no itch or puss or ulcer or yellow colored pimples. I have no idea if this red spots is herpes or just normal allergy! Does herpes red spots come and go ? Like 3 spots today and next day new 2 spot the old one not visible ? I'm sorry with these questions! Please help

Brief Answer:
No not herpes infection.

Detailed Answer:
Well come back.

The picture you uploaded cannot get opened. Trust me it is not herpes as herpes does not present like this. In herpes you would experience severe pain and vesicles. Don't worry wait for about a week. If it persist then I would advise you tests. For one week do not apply any cream and ointment. Avoid having intercourse. Follow up after 10 days.

Take care

Thanks a lot Doctor ! Since you mentioned about ointment and cream, I would like to add one more point , after I add coconut oil there is slight inflammation and also after urination some times I get pain!! But if I drink a lot of water and pass urine I don't have this inflammation. because of this stress I feel like I have all the herpes symptoms I am worried doctor! Adding picture again

Brief Answer:
No not herpes genitalis infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pics. It is not herpes at all. It looks like allergic papular rashes. Follow the instructions I gave earlier. Don't apply anything. If you have changed a soap or shampoo recently then change it. Don't apply coconut oil or anything. It will resolve in sometime. Drink plenty of fluids regularly and eat protein rich balanced diet with multivitamins and calcium supplements. If frequently urinating then get urine routine microscopy examination done. If no problem on drinking adequate amount of water no test advised. Maintain good hygiene.

Take care.

Thanks a lot doctor! So if it's herpes the red spots should turn to blisters and break open right ? It's been more than 10 days with same condition but the red spots go in one end of the penis head and new one comes in another side of the head or at the back of penis head. I'm sorry for again bringing up the herpes part even after you telling it's not, I'm little concerned and praying it should not be herpes since I'm getting married in 6 months. Thanks a lot again doctor .

Doctor this evening I see few red spots similar ones in my foreskin and I kind of feeling itchy! Still no fever or no blisters or puss or crack or sore! Is this some allergy that's spreading? Or is this herpes ??

Brief Answer:
Apply cotrimazole cream for 2 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

If you are having itching then there is a possibility of allergy or male thrush yeast infection too. I suggest you to apply Canesten 1% Cream or Clotrimazole 1% Cream. Apply 2-3 times daily during 10-14 days. Stay in follow-up. Don't worry it is not herpes. It is mild problem.

Take care
