Suggest Treatment For Raised Bumps And Rashes On The Inner Thighs

default
Posted on Mon, 10 Aug 2015
Question: Hi doctor,
I have a group of rashes in my inner thighs. They are big , usually they dont have any white head , they are usually dome shaped, just a raised bump in my skin. However, when I poke it, it soons start to have white heads. Upon pressing one of the bumps, I saw white stuff along with blood come out.
They only occur in my inner thighs, they are sometimes itchy, they do not burst by themselves and become open sores. They rather become fixed dry bumps ( discolored spots after a while)

They are not super itchy, they itch once in a while. Is this because of warm weather, sweating or is it an STD
I am very concerned doctor

1. Its been 2 months on and off.
2. Yes once the bump has gone down and become dark in color, another one breaks out
3. It starts as a rasied bump with no head, it doesnt hurt that much, it does itch, but not much.
Then after a while the bump becomes fleshy, like a pimple without a head,
it makes me feel like popping it, and only a little amount of puss comes out.
If I dont touch a bump , or try to squeeze it, the bump will go down on its own, it will not form a head, it will not burst by itself, it just goes down on its own, and the skin over the bump becomes dry.
However, right now, I have a bump that is on its way down, and it has become light colored. However , few other bumps have taken the same progression and now its just a black spot .
4. I do not have any bumps on my penis. My testicles dont itch.

I am a big guy with very meaty thick thighs that chaffs (touches together) when I walk.

I am of east XXXXXXX ethnicity. So most of my bumps when they go down turn dark. The pic I uploaded , you`ll see a whitish bump. Its actually a very old bump which started as a huge bump, then it went down, started to become light with few dry skin.

None of my bumps burst on its own, and they do not appear in any part of the body.

Only in inner thighs and ass cheeks.

I am a straight male, who have had sex in the past with women

Also doctor, I forgot to mention, I have rashes on my thighs as well. I mean front thighs , not near genitals but rather around knees. They arent as big , but those front thigh rashes take the same route as the ones I described earlier.

Brief Answer:
folliculitis is most likely possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.
Thanks for the detailed description and images.
As per details, the most likely possibility for your symptoms is a condition of skin called Folliculitis.
It is a bacterial infection of skin involving the hair follicle.
In such cases, I prefer to advise topical antibiotic cream like mupirocin 2 percent over the affected area. If severe, oral antibiotics are also given like combination of ampicillin and cloxacillin.
You should also get your Blood sugar levels done.
Keep the area clean and dry.
Visit your doctor so that he can examine you and give you prescription.
You can share my opinion with him.
I hope it helps.
Take care.
