Question: what is pulmonary tuberclosis and how can i diagnose it.Doctor has said that i have pulmonary tuberclosis after seeing the reports and said me to take DOTS for six months every alternate day..so please confirm me whether i have pulmonary tuberclosis after looking at the reports and also please suggest whether to take DOTS tablets for 6 months every alternate day..already i had taken two doses of DOTS..please confirm and suggest me..?

Hi XXXXXXX Doctor, Thanks very much for your reply..as per your comments my GP also said to me that there is fluid build up in lungs (Pleural effusion) so i was in confusion whether to take ATT or not..? after taking this ATT i feel tired, i feel voice change and some pulling sensation in eyes and then after some hours i fell ok.. please tell me whether there will be any side effects by taking ATT..?

Most of the ATT drugs may have adverse effect on liver so your treating physician should get your liver function test done from time to time.
