I quite drinking about a month ago and started working out again but it's not helping.

Brief Answer:
You need to take plenty of proteins in diet.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Congratulations on giving up alcohol.

The first thing that I would need to ask you is whether you currently smoke and whether you currently follow a healthy lifestyle. Smoking can have a damaging effect on your health even if you have stopped drinking. Your health is perhaps not in a good condition and the dark bags under your eyes indicate the degenerative changes that have already occurred. You need to take plenty of proteins with your diet and need to back it up with daily and regular exercise.

The runny nose can be due to an allergic component and therefore taking some antiallergic like cetirizine or any other once daily for a few days should help. In any case, taking steam inhalation should help. Water in form of vapor reaches deep inside and helps in diluting the cough, thus providing relief.

Brief Answer:
Protein helps in the repair process

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

Our body is made of proteins and therefore more protein intake is required in order to facilitate the repair process. It might take a significant time for things to be back to normal.

E-cigarettes still contain nicotine and other harmful substances. The following link should give you an idea about the related health concerns:
